The X-RT sits between an all-terrain and a dedicated mud-terrain design. It combines an open tread for loose-surface traction with a variable-pitch layout intended to keep highway driving comfortable. It is a useful pattern to consider for a vehicle that travels sealed roads to reach gravel routes and rougher tracks. For work or towing, the correct load rating and inflation pressure remain essential.

The X-shaped tread combines an optimised void-to-lug ratio for self-cleaning with pitch variation to help manage noise on highway journeys.

SHOULDERS THAT KEEP WORKING

Staggered shoulder lugs add biting edges on rocky surfaces. Ejectors between the shoulder blocks help release mud and prevent stones becoming lodged in the tread.

TALON DUAL SIDEWALLS

The aggressive TALON sidewall design adds off-road traction features and a distinctive appearance. Deep tread blocks provide the substance behind the rugged look.

Understanding rim sizes, ply ratings & UTQG

WHEEL & RIM SIZE

The number after R is the wheel diameter in inches. Approved rim width is a separate measurement: the width of the wheel this exact tyre specification can be fitted to. Standard rim is the supplier’s measuring-rim reference.

SIDEWALL PLY & LOAD RATING

PR describes load-carrying capacity; it does not count the physical layers in a sidewall. XL means extra load. Actual sidewall ply must be confirmed from the exact tyre’s construction marking. A “3-ply, selected sizes” badge does not apply to every size.

UTQG GRADES

The three values are treadwear, traction and temperature grades, in that order. Treadwear is a comparative rating, not a kilometre warranty. “Not listed” means no grade is supplied here; it is not a zero rating. Ask us to check the actual tyre where “Confirm grade” is shown.

EXACT FITMENT MATTERS
