The PR1 A/S gives different areas of the tread different jobs. Three main grooves and curved lateral channels help move water away from the contact patch, while the outer rib supports steering response and straight-line stability. It is a road-focused choice for daily driving and longer trips, with an all-season design that distinguishes it from the summer-focused PR1 Sport. Three main grooves connect with curved lateral channels to evacuate water and help maintain contact with the road in wet conditions.
Deep sipes in the inner shoulder and central tread blocks assist water evacuation. The blocks interlock during cornering to support dry traction and braking performance.
A solid circumferential rib beside the outer shoulder supports responsive steering and straight-line stability, complementing the drainage features elsewhere in the asymmetric tread.
